Purpose and legal basis for processing personal data
Nikula Legal is an old-fashioned law firm offering services to clients by phone, email and letters. Nikula Legal and its lawyer shall respect the Client's confidentiality, and an encrypted email system is offered by Nikula Legal.
The purpose of processing personal data is to identify and serve customers and users in different situations. Personal data is used to manage assignments, develop operations to ensure service quality and for complaints. Personal data is not used for statistics or marketing.
Personal data is processed as part of the law firm's legal obligations.
Retention period of personal data
In connection with legal advice and assignments, personal data is stored for ten (10) years from the termination of the assignment.

The information is obtained mainly from the Client, to which information or documents issued by the authorities or third parties that are necessary for carrying out the assignment may be attached. Nikula may also check out Google and social media.

Data will not be disclosed to third parties unless disclosure is required by law. Information may be disclosed, for example, in the following areas. to the tax authority or supervisory authority. (Eg. Act on Assessment Procedure, Act on the Prevention of Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing.)
Transfer of data outside the EU or EEA
Data will not be disclosed outside the EU or EEA or to international organisations.
An exception to this is the handling of a legal assignment with the Client's permission in cooperation with a foreign lawyer in which case only information relevant to the assignment will be disclosed. The client is always informed of the matter in advance and may rohibit the disclosure of information.

Nikula Legal does not use automated decision-making.
Rights of the data subject
You always have the right to receive and inspect your personal data. The review request can be sent to Nikula Legal. In connection with the verification request, You will need to prove Your identity.
You always have the right to rectify inaccurate personal data concerning you. Make the request in writing to Nikula Legal. In the request, indicate the information to be rectified and its exact change or supplement. Be prepared to prove your identity.
Nikula Legal Oy is registered with the Regional State Administrative Agency, and it is the company's obligation to request and keep sufficient customer information. With regard to this data, you cannot request the erasure or transfer of your personal data to another system, nor can you object in principle to the processing of your personal data.
